GIS dominates again
|
41 exhibitors, 1500 visitors, exhibition area of 460 m2, 70 movie presentations and lectures ,
6 seminar rooms and 2 kinds of training workshops - that summarises this year’s party.
This time GEA fairs were organized In one of the most impressive - as for Polish conditions - Poznań International Fairs complex.
The opening was performed altogether by the vice president of GUGiK Ryszard Preuss , representative of the Office of Wielkopolskie Voivodeship (WODGiK) Lidia Danielska and the president of Economy Chamber of Geodesy Wojciech Matela.
GEA fairs were a perfect opportunity to compare different solutions. And it referred to measurement instruments (Leica, Nikon, Nedo, Pentax, Sokkia, Topcon, Trimble), as well as scanning , printing and copying devices (Canon, Colortrac, Contex, KIP, Océ, Seiko, Xerox).
The offer within this scope was completed by the session of presentations entitled “ Geoinformatical technologies and techniques”
This year, however companies providing services , data and geoinformatical products were dominating among others.
Fairs debutant in this line of business was one of the local IT market giants, currently also associated with satellite technology, quoted on Warsaw Stock-Market, the Techmex company.
However the GSI solution world’s suppliers (Autodesk, Bentley, ESRI, MapInfo), although they didn’t have their own stalls ( except for Leica Geosystems ) nor agents, were represented by theirs trade partners , or they made speeches during various seminar sessions or training workshops accompanying this event.
A few local geoinformatical companies took advantage only of an opportunity to participate in session , and also for example Galileo information point (e.g. EGNOS presentation) and University of Adam Mickiewicz in Poznań ( an author’s usage example of numerical application of spatial data bases for WIOŚ purposes)
The fact that more and more companies are offering complex solutions allowing to manage a commune, a district, a city or a company with the usage of spatial data was clearly noticeable.
Confirmation of significance of this type of proposal was an all day session entitled “District and urban systems of geographical information in management”
However, the opinions presented during the session lead by professor Jerzy Gaździcki regarding difficulties in geoinformation growth in Poland convinced of disturbing lack of real actions of national decision-makers for the information society and growth of new technologies.
Geodesy equipment
Two Leica Geosystems AG equipment distributors had a similar offer.
Czerski Trade Polska put emphasis first of all on SmartStation module based on tachometer TPS 1200, Smart Antenna ATX1230 and communication adapter GAD104.
An offer “full client service + training + audit + putting into production “ created especially for this kind of equipment was emphasized.
IG T. Nasadowski partnership focused on presentation of GPS receivers (GRX 1200 Lite/Classic/Pro) and software intended for reference stations.
During exhibitors lecture session a reference station TYCH working in Silesia was mentioned.
From specialists form Geosystems Poland , sharing the stall with the Czereski company, one could obtain information regarding digital camera with ADS40 line scanner and LIDAR ALS50 scanner.
Furthermore, the company offers 8.7 LPS version and Virtual Delivery - new module in Erdas Virtual GIS.
Europe’s Automap with Tele Atlas data base was announced for the end of October (the new solution among others is pseudoperspective with 3D map shift)
Impexgeo and Geotronics Cracow presented together first of all the newest tachymeter Trimble S6 with servomotors and reflectorless measurement.
On the stall one could find GPS receivers including Pathfinder ProXH with the newest Everest technology
(elimination of resonated signals), which gives exactness below 20 cm in postprocessing. More over Nikkon offer was showed: tachymeters (DTM-332, DTM-362 and reflectorless NPL-332 and NPL-352) and optical levels (AX-2S, AC-2S), and also laser levels Spectra Precision (Trimble).
TPI company, Topcon equipment distributor , came to fairs with millimetre GPS, and also GPS receivers designed for GIS market (a new model ,whose premiere will be at Intergo in October , with Windows CE , Bluetooth , GLONASS signal receipt and built-in camera was announced) photogrammetrical system PI-3000 and tachymeters GPT-3000(L)N, GPT-7000i (awarded with GEA 2005 prize ) i GPT-8200A.
On COGiK stall , supplier of Sokka solutions, electronical tachymeters series SETx30RK (see page 52).
One could obtain information regarding series SETx230RM (coming to our market). Furthermore tachymeters SET from x10, x30R, x130R3, x030R3 series were offered as well as Radian IS and Stratus GPS receivers and also optical levels and accessories.
Geopryzmat , agent of Pentax , presented tachymeter from the newest R-300 series with measurement without mirror up to 200 m - model R-325N, and also levels from AP-100 series , selflevelling levels , selffocusing level AFL-240.
The only foreign exhibitor was Nedo GmbH company & Co. traditionally present on fairs with the offer of optical and laser levels , tripods and geodetic equipment.
Passus company , supplier of mobile devices, came with tablets , notebooks and PDA devices of Itronix and Unitech, and also with reinforcing casings for tablets and PDA’s.
The products presented during fairs were distinguished by resistant construction and innovative technology allowing to communicate with the usage of wireless interfaces like GPRS, EDGE, WLAN and Bluetooth.
The access to Internet for all exhibited devices was assured by Ethernus network server form Embedos.
Scanning and copying
Océ Poland company except for TCS 400 , well known colour copying , printing and scanning system for the wide spread shit format documents ( 120 installation in Poland ) and also TDS400 showed newest TDS450 system . it was basically the world’s premiere for this solution.
Scanner reaching at 600 dpi speed of 5mb/min was revolutionary in this system. The Agraf company came with the Colortrac wide spread shit format scanners , Canon plotters and WiseImage 6.0 Pro Geo software.
